International Sports Engineering Association
The International Sports Engineering Association is the brain child of Professors Steve Haake and possibly Ujihashi in 1998. It was a bold step in defining this emerging discipline between sports and engineering. Also lauched was the very first Sports Engineering Journal which today is published by Springer and also in a book series that was essentially published papers from the Biannual ISEA international conference. In 2010 for the first time the conference papers will be published by Elsivier.
The association has broken ground for this new discipline that today has around 4 journals covering the area and many universities internationally offering undergraduat and post graduate courses in the discipline
